Recently an Italian activist called has made the following claims:

1. Many pathologies of unknown origin can be caused by "nanoparticles".

2. Among these there are many forms of cancer.
3. These nanoparticles can penetrate the sperm and the egg, with
unknown consequences.
4. Research on nanoparticles, founded by the EU, has successfully
explained the origin of the so-called "Balkan Syndrome" (i.e. a group
of pathologies which affected military personnel and civilians involved
in wars in the former Yugoslavia).

As sources he quotes the website www.nanodiagnostics.it, but it seems
to me that the articles cited there are not published on serious
medical journals.
Are any of these extraordinary claims based on facts?
Thanks,

Bruno Panetta
