Author Hair Removal
Hello

Hi, I was wondering if a dermatologist is able to permanently
remove hair and follicles from a man's scalp without resorting to
either laser hair removal (I have some questions about laser's
effectiveness) or electrolysis (which seems to be time consuming)?

The hair in question is a wide patch in the left temporal region
above the ear all the way to the rear of the scalp. There is no
hair to speak of on the top region of the scalp.

Several months ago I saw a special on the Discovery Channel about
ancient plastic surgery. Ancient Roman surgeons were able to remove
markings on the skin using some kind of scraping technique, I think, or
perhaps it was some other method--I've forgotten.

So I am thinking modern day dermatologists must have methods to
remove hair and follicles from the scalp using techniques other than
laser and the time-consuming electrolysis method?

Many thanks in advance for any help.
