Any cases of the shingles virus causing paralysis of the arms and legs
by infecting the spinal cord?

'sorry. didnt get the logic behind ur Q. if herpes virus is to affect
the dorsal ganglion only( a sensory ganglion), how do we expect it to
cause paralysis

If it infects the ventral [motor] ganglion.
