Anyone still doing clinitest on _adults_ (note, I did not say infants) when
the chemstips > 250 mg/dl (low sensitivity limit)? I see no CAP
requirement, and
assume this is merely an archaic hang over in our procedures. Thanks

Not anymore for years after the CAP revised it. We also don't do ketone or
protein checks anymore. The only confirmation is bile ictotest from
chemstrips on adults.

Two follow-up points on this urinalysis question. If not doing the other
confirmatory tests: 1) Why do the ictotest and no the others? How does
one draw the line? I note that there still is a phase 1 question on the
2005 (April) list addressing the isuue of possible confirmatory testing.
How is this issue addressed without confirmatory testing
