I've been a member of Medlab-l since the first year Pat set it up. I see
several names on this ng that I recognize on the medlab-l. I have my mail
set to digest so that I only get 1 message per day, and that will have any
where between 3 and 15 messages. If it gets a good discussion going then it
can go up to 20 or 25 per day. What makes it better is that Pat keeps close
tabs on subscribers and only lab professionals can join - headhunters not
welcome. Sales reps OK, maybe.

| It's all business. No religious fanatics, no alternative or pop/new age
wellness self-promoters. Sign up. As John said, the digest works best for
me.

| You also cannot post anonymously on MEDLAB-L. Pat runs a good tight ship
and the discussions are good. It's a general lab list, however. I
recommend the digest format. You will get a lot of email on some days,
depending upon the topic.
If you're only interested in microbiology, the ASM's DivC list is where
you want to go.

I recommend the MIME digest for this list.
