After 30 some odd yrs I have seen all those gripes, and it just never seems
to get better no matter what management tool is used. I'd like to add a few
more:
The nurse who complains when we cancel a hemolyzed CBC saying that "it
wasn't hemolysed when it left the ER"

Or the one who complains when we cancel a clotted CBC - she actually stated
that she took the clot out before she sent it!

I also have to note that this is the first year in the last few when we
didn't have to listen to Loretta Laroche - my manager's favorite
motivational video. We also worked to spread the food around to all the
shifts and also ran a door decorating contest that included all shifts and
departments.
