I have tried fosamax and actonel, once a day and once a week, am a male with
steroid induced osteo, and get gerd and other muscular and sinus side effects
from these drugs. Is there anything else out there?

Yes. You can get the same type of drug intravenously. Much stronger
though. Talk to your endocrinologist about Pamidronate or Zometa.

Are you taking them exactly as prescribed? I have spoken to many people
- exspecially on fosamax - who did not observe the remain upright rule.
THey had problems that mostly went away when they did it right. The
trick is to take fosamax on an empty stomach - with a full glass of
plain water and then remain sitting or standing for 30 minutes to an
hour. = THen eat something.
