| I have tried fosamax and actonel, once a day and once a week, am a male with
steroid induced osteo, and get gerd and other muscular and sinus side effects
from these drugs. Is there anything else out there?

| Yes. You can get the same type of drug intravenously. Much stronger
though. Talk to your endocrinologist about Pamidronate or Zometa.

| Are you taking them exactly as prescribed? I have spoken to many people
- exspecially on fosamax - who did not observe the remain upright rule.
THey had problems that mostly went away when they did it right. The
trick is to take fosamax on an empty stomach - with a full glass of
plain water and then remain sitting or standing for 30 minutes to an
hour. = THen eat something.
