We have no faith in the integrity of the CDC and the FDA. They are doing all
they can to protect themselves and Big Pharma from the truth; that the
autism epidemic is caused by Big Pharma's greed and the failure of the CDC
and the FDA to do their jobs. Big Pharma must not be allowed to evade its
financial liability for the damage their vaccines have caused. Like the
tobacco companies in the last century, which kept denying the cigarette-lung
cancer link, the drug companies are lying, with the help of the CDC and FDA,
about the role of vaccines in causing the autism's epidemic. When the lung
cancer cases finally got to court, the truth came out. We parents insist on
our right to hold the drug companies liable, in court, for the harm they
have caused. The matter must be decided fairly in the legal system, and not
by loophole riders exonerating the drug companies that have been added to
appropriation bills in the dark of night. The drug companies caused the
autism epidemic and they, not the parents nor the public, must pay the
costs. They are guilty, they are very profitable and can and should be held
accountable.

But Rimland of course is still pushing his old barrow. What he wrote
about in the early '60s was probably worth considering at the time. But
now 40 odd years later after many trials the connection bettween autism
and vacination has been well disproved over and over again. Thimerosal
is no longer used in MMR vaccine and hasn't been for ages. Not that any
conection was proved to Autism anyway. But he still keeps pushing the
same old barrow.
It's total crap to compare vaccines to smoking. I remember when I was
young Polio and Whooping Cough were common, fearsome illness. I was
probably among the first groups to be vaccinated against such. One
hardly hears of them now. But back then, well you wouldn't have wanted
to be a kid a few years before I was born (1955). Since when was
smoking ever thought to save millions of lives?
So what are these companies guilty of? Investing money, saving lives
and making a profit on that investment? Give those guys a medal. Oh
they prefer the cash? Fair enough.

Never was. Thimerosal would inactivate the vaccine.

It never was used in MMR. About once a month some anti-vaccination
liar repeats the lie, though. And how do I know that they are lying?

Thimerosal was never in the MMR vaccine. If you don't know anything about
the subject best to keep quiet, rather than speak and show your ignorance
we all know the propaganda version

he is comparing the cover up. vaccination killed millions through smallpox

| Yeah OK I got it wrong Thimerosal was NEVER was used in MMR. Sorry I
know it isn't used now. I got my argument wrong. Not good. I'll try to
do better in future. I did check the facts by the way and now agree
with the never part.
Thimerosal was used in other vaccines and I am not a big time expert in
this stuff and only got into this group yesterday. However the Googling
I did seemed to indicate ( I only spent about 15 minutes on it, but
that's plenty of info for me. Google is your friend) that Thimerosal
was one thing that was a big issue. But proven not to to cause the
illnesess it was claimed to and is no longer used anyway.
Is that about right? Or do I have to get every post 100% accurate
before I expess an opinion.?

Please feel free to point out my factual mistakes and I promise I will
try to do better in future.
I do understand this is serious stuff.
But this is a group right? I have seen in only two days the most
bizaare posts.
I don't tell lies but I do make mistakes. I will try to do better.

No, you do not. Not at all. I for one like humans, who are fallible, not
robots. What is refreshing and commendable is your willingness to check
your facts and to adjust your opinion accordingly.

The bizarre ones are from people who, unlike you, do not let facts
bother them. Some, like Carole, are even proud that they do not know any
facts or check them, because for them, that makes their opinions more valid.

when everyone knows MMR and mercury vaccines cause autism it will probably

When pigs fly. Since mercury is out of vaccines but autism rates
haven't plunged, the desperate anti-vax forces will now put all
their efforts into blaming MMR.

Then go read some factual data. There are a few facts on whale.to,
because editing is never perfect, but they're hard to find and mostly
disguised.
