Announcement - I Have Had Enough - And a Final Goodbye

| Hi Everybody,
This is Alan posting under my real email address.
I want to explain to everybody what has been going on around here and clear my
own name.
For six years now I have been playing one man support group to a woman you all
you, whose husband abuses her, and makes her life a living hell, and then he
complains to others that she is "depressed" and yet I can pick up my phone any
time I like and have her laughing within seconds and keep her laughing for about
two hours at a time.
He also totally destroyed her self confidence in her own academic abilities and
so she felt unable to continue her own studies, even though she worked hard to
put him through college so that he could become a big shot lawyer, but with my
encouragement she went back to college and has got "A" after "A" after "A",
while all he did was belittle her efforts and laugh at her.
He then accused us of cyber-sexing on the phone, which is a total lie, and he
also believes certain lies that mainly originated because I was unwilling to
follow through on my commitment to Anja because of the woman in question. I then
phoned him to remonstrate with him at which point her spent the next twenty
minutes abusing his wife by calling her a "drunk" and a "depressive" and telling
me that "This is America" and that he has the right to behave in such a way, and
ending by screaming a torrent of swear words at me with his children in the next
room listening.
He now insists the she go to counselling for "her depression" and once again she
meekly goes along with this, because if she doesn't, he is the smart-XXX lawyer
and he will take her children away, and he already told her how nasty it will
get.
So he was wound up in this newsgroup, as you have witnessed, but because Iceman
kept pushing buttons for his own amusement, and because she was delayed in
traffic, her abusive husband's name is all over usenet and when you Google on
his name, instead of his prestigious law firm coming up first, "Wife Abuser"
comes up, and you all know the name and can Google for it yourself.
So now, instead of finishing her course work in time for the final exam this
Friday she is now playing Momma to Momma's Boy once more and cleaning up his
mess and is going to flunk her course as a result.
Well I have had enough and I have given her an ultimatum. She either stops
playing Momma and comes and plays my wife or she can damn well continue playing
Momma for evermore and I don't want to know anymore.
And Anja, I wish to apologise to you, because I should not have let you come to
my house knowing how I feel about this woman, but at the time I was under the
illusion that she was happily married, but I could not go through with it when
you said you were coming back and so I came up with feeble excuses to put you
off.
The same goes for Nemesis's daughter, if indeed Nemesis is who I believe she is.
I apologise for that too.
And you all know who I am talking about, but you appreciate that I would be
unwise to name names, as her abusive husband is here lurking, and that is what
prevents her posting any more.
Anyway, that is all I wish to say, because I felt I had to clear *My* name while
she is so busy clearing up the abuser's name.
And I wish you all the best with your health and your livers, no matter what
state they are in, and I feel it is best I do not post here ever again, as I
seem to have spent the past six years making a total XXX of myself on behalf of
somebody who is simply addicted to playing Momma to an abusive husband.

No one destroys someone else's self confidence unless they allow them to do
so. Been there, done that. A person is in control of their own destiny.

It sounds to me like an extremely co-dependent relationship and you
unfortunately are the scapegoat.

I would certainly go along with that Mom. I got stuck in an abusive
relationship for quite a while. I eventually walked. I even got
stalked for my trouble. Hep-c was my saviour. Once she knew I was
ill she quit bugging me. Wish I'd thought of it before :-)

I guess I just never understood why in God's name anyone would put up with
an abuser. Of course, I am at the other extreme, if they look at me wrong I
am history. LOL I have also been single since 1985 because I put up with
zero amount of shit. I would simply rather be alone.
What is that theory where after someone tells you something negative about
yourself or constantly puts you down for so long you eventually believe it's
true? Damn, almost 60 credits in psychology and I can't remember the name of
it. Anyway, maybe I was too hard on this woman. I was just basing it on the
way I am. Everyone has a different personality and set of their own ghosts.
