Thomas, believe me, she had you beat before you started. I once scanned an
article in a U.K magazine and emailed it to her and within a very short time
she knew who had originally authored it and emailed me back with the details.

And we have been laughing at you and winding you up just because we think
differently to you, you have to plod along and follow reason, while we can make
these tenuous links and put them together, and sometimes it works out right and
sometimes it works out wrong, but then you just start again, no big deal.

But that doesn't make us better than you, and we have done wrong, while you do
try to help others, and you can't help being what you are any more than we can
help being what we are.

And I have been blaming others for geting me booted off the internet, and
arrogantly riding roughshod all over you, just because I can, because I can see
those tenuous links that specialists miss, and I have misused the gift that God
gave me.

So I'm apologising to you Thomas, and I won't pick on you ever again, but then
I doubt you even understand what I am talking about, but don't bother answering
me cos I am gone.

I still don't understand why you would consider me "beat" if Robin digs
up a source that I didn't find because I searched for it in the wrong
language. I thanked her for finding it, and immediately noticed (and
publicly stated) that my translation of an ambiguous sentence in the
press release was incorrect in one important point. Is making a mistake
and correcting it when new information arrives something you consider
being "beaten"? That is what politicians think, and it explains a lot
about your insistence on sticking to mistaken beliefs even when shown
contradictory information. But fortunately for all of us, it's not how
scientists, or engineers like me, work.

Usenet indeed is no big deal, but that doesn't absolve you from
responsibility for your postings. Making tenuous links is one thing,
posting ridicule and lies about what I supposedly said is another.

I'm answering anyway, because you've been saying that once too often, so
it's hard to believe. I'm also answering to accept your apology, hoping
that it is indeed a sign of sincerity, and not another ruse. You should
know by now that I don't hold grudges against anyone. It can be a lot
more amusing and stimulating to have discussions without ridicule and
mutual insults, such as those I've had with Robin, than the mudwrestling
contests we two engaged in. I'm perfectly willing to forget that past
and move on. But it takes two to tango...
