LMAO. Hey, if you want my thoughts, which I do admit are not original, then they
are quite simply that life is a sexually-transmitted, terminal condition.
Isn't it a shame that so many people try to ignore that fact?
The only thing to fear is fear itself.
You can't have a war on terror, because terror is a state of mind, and if Bush
has all these fears then why doesn't somebody do the obvious thing and stick him
in a mental hospital and give him some largactol?
"OOoh the bogey-man is coming to get me!" <quiver-shiver> I often wonder if he
sleeps underneath the bed.
LMAO. And the world is full of stoopids who think he is some kinda Mr Wonderful?
Yea right!
The only thing I hate is stupidity and ignorance, and there sure seems to be an
outbreak of it since Bush got elected.
As this is a science newsgroup, what did the most famous scientist of all time
say about war?
"Heroism on command, senseless violence, and all the loathsome nonsense that
goes by the name of patriotism -- how passionately I hate them!"
"He who joyfully marches to music rank and file, has already earned my contempt.
He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would
surely suffice. This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once.
Heroism at command, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble
war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be a part of so base an action. It
is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of
murder."
"A human being is a part of a whole, called by us _universe_, a part limited in
time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something
separated from the rest... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This
delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and
to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves
from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living
creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."
And here are a few more of his quotes:
"The fear of death is the most unjustified of all fears, for there's no risk of
accident for someone who's dead."
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure
about the the universe."
"Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It
takes a touch of genius -- and a lot of courage -- to move in the opposite
direction."
"Whoever undertakes to set himself up as a judge of Truth and Knowledge is
shipwrecked by the laughter of the gods."
Hey, I am enjoying laughing. The whole American nation and the current British
Government shipwrecked by the laughter of the gods.
There is nobody in the U.K ever going to be stupid enough to vote New Labour
ever again, but somehow some people in America (the ones with money and power)
still seem to buy that Republican Rock mentioned on my America page.
Homer: Not a bear in sight. The Bear Patrol must be working like a charm.
Lisa: That's spacious reasoning, Dad.
Homer: Thank you, dear.
Lisa: By your logic I could claim that this rock keeps tigers away.
Homer: Oh, how does it work?
Lisa: It doesn't work.
Homer: Uh-huh.
Lisa: It's just a stupid rock.
Homer: Uh-huh.
Lisa: But I don't see any tigers around, do you?
[Homer thinks of this, then pulls out some money]
Homer: Lisa, I want to buy your rock. [Lisa refuses at first, then takes the
exchange]
Amazing how many people are buying that Republican rock.
ROFLMAO
Lord Cerne Abbas
Humpty Dumpty Bush fell off the Iraq wall.
Humpty Dumpty Bush had a big fall.
All his spin doctors and all the President's men
couldn't put Humpty Dumpty Bush together again.
