By all reports, her computer was seized in order to investigate whether
she had used federal property to write the letter. In a letter to her,
the human resources director acknowledged that they had found no files
on her computer containing the text of the letter, but noted that "The
Agency is bound by law to investigate and pursue any act which
potentially represents sedition." If you find this logically
inconsistent (or otherwise inexplicable), those concerns are better
addressed to the VA.
