All I know for sure about this is that a few years back this issue
warranted enough concern that it made it's way to some "60 minutes"-type
TV program. I heard the usual pro's and con's, i.e., "some researchers
and scientists believe there _may_ be a problem", and then of course the
expected Industry(R) denials.
Why not be safe rather than sorry? It's almost impossible today to get
_conclusive_ information out of our "scientists", especially in the US
since Money is at the crux of every goddamned thing that happens here...
I know if I had a baby, it wouldn't suck or chew on anything from a F'ing
Corporation. I've seen people use dumbell-shaped silver rattles for
teething, I think they were made by the Navajo.
Anyway, in future, please don't crosspost -it's really annoying.
