I've never heard a floor nurse refer to patients as "clients"; only nursing
students and their instructors. The whole idea is ludicrous. The only people
with clients in a hospital are malpractice attorneys.

I understand the use of the phrase is/was supposed to instill "professionalism"
into our line of work, but calling it other than what it is won't work. You can
rub and rub all day, but you can't put a shine on a turd,.
