Catching up with Shamanism

Science and psychology are beginning to overcome
their societal blinders to open their eyes to the
wondrous powers and positive life changing effects
of entheogens (psychedelics). I have maintained for
quite some time now that the OBE's and other mystical
happening that occur when somebody uses these helper
plants, preferably in the right setting for the right
reasons with proper supervision, often provoke an
individual to overcome their infantile ego driven self
destructive behavioral patterns. That is their purpose
for the responsible herb and plant user.

A new study on psilocybin (magic) mushrooms reported
today in ABCNEWS.com verifies exactly this effect.
Other helper plants like Salvia divinorum, Amanita
muscaria, Peyote and other mescaline bearing
Trichoceros cacti, and ayahuasca brews also work towards
the same end.
