| First the injustice, briefly because it's stuff you already know about:
1. alcohol and tobacco are legal, while marijuana and psychedelics
are not.
2. alcohol kills millions (incidentally, I have learned that LSD
has been used to treat alcohol dependence with a 50% success rate -
higher than any other treatment I know of)
3. since fun, recreational, mind-expandin' chemicals are hard to
find and punishable by law, people have few (or no) choices in the area
of helpful pharmeceuticals when you _don't have a problem_, and
therefore choices like alcohol and tobacco are widely accepted.
4. war continues.
Now the solution:
Invite each member of Congress to a lengthy retreat where the
following will be made available to them:
1. Marijuana
2. Ecstasy
3. LSD
4. Psychedelic mushrooms
5. Honest education about these drugs.
6. A wide variety of great music at the individual's discretion.
7. Lots of trees and plants.
8. A wide variety of delicious food.
9. Entertainment, resting, and brainstorming areas.
10. A television podium where people can share their revelations with
the nations.
Let's discuss this idea.. I think it would be well worth the few
million dollars we'd have to spend on it.
