I'm not sure if the original poster is still following this thread but if
you want the simplest answer to the orginal question here goes.

LSD, mushrooms and peyote are very similar but the main differences are:

LSD tends to produce a more intellectual expereince.

Mushrooms tend to produce a more emotional expereince.

Peyote tends to produce a more spiritual experience.

And now for some more detailed info;
These differences are fairly subtle and any particular trip may be of any of
the above types regardless of which drug was consumed. Its really a matter
of whats most likely to be expereinced. Your mental state at the time of
dosing is really a more important factor in what sort of trip you'll have
than which of the above three you've ingested.

Also, peyote contains secondary alkaloids ranging from emetic to antibiotic
in effect so one feels physiological (usually mild and harmless) sensations
not felt on LSD or mushrooms. The cactus Trichocerus pachanoi (I think I
spelt that right) contain fewer secondary alkoloids and therefore produces a
cleaner mescaline experience.

Also to consider, if mescaline cactus is boiled into a tea and the water
used is alkaline, the mescaline degrages into a much less pschedelic
substance with predominant but weak MDMA like effects. Best to acidify the
water first.

Further more; Mushrooms come on whithin half an hour and last about six
hours. The other two come on in an hour or so and last twelve to sixteen
hours.

That's about all I can think of on this topic; I hope that covers the
subject adaquately.

P.S. It's been a few years since I've had any of the above mentioned
substances. I'd be overjoyed to come across any one of them!
