Question: How frequently can Salvia be used?

Answer: Depending on dosage and intent this may vary.

In low doses salvia works well as a mood regulator and anti-depressant
as well as an aid in naturopathic detox from pain meds and opiates. This
dose I speak of is far below the threshold required for the deep and
profound visioning that most people seek when using Salvia.

This low dose can be taken daily as it is negligibly perceptible.

The higher dosages that most people take when seeking intense levels of
inner visioning is another story.

An essay I am formulating, dealing with the frequent use of any
entheogen, delves into this matter of higher, deeper, more frequent, or
more intense levels of use and the potential consequences for the
seeker. A working title for it is [ Study Reports "Magic Mushrooms Cause
Mental Illness", Sign Me Up! ]

The paper or essay deals with the duality erasing effect of entheogens
("God within" plants). Regular use of entheogens has led many a soul to
shift perceptions to a more cooperative, peaceful, and unified view of
reality. Those humans still trapped in the grips and pain of duality
perceive the unative mindset as crazy and the person expressing it to be
a loon and out of touch with reality. From the unative mindset, one
sees that it is duality that is the disease tearing away at the fabric
of peoples spirits, minds, and souls, keeping them from truley knowing
themselves and from being able to feel and connect to all of creation,
like we humans have the ability to.

The big problem with developing this unative mindset to its fullest,
with or without the use of entheogens, is that it seems to inhibit
subjecting oneself to the daily controlling, compartmentalizing,
demeaning grind of common western societies. This can create a
dysfunctional person if this person still is trying to use the symbols
and tools and means of the dualistic world. If one has broken free from
this way of being, then this unative mindset is heaven and all is good.

So the answer to the question regarding frequency of use of Salvia
divinorum related to health depends on what you are expecting to get out
of it, what kind of lifestyle you have, and how far you want to drift
into the unative way of being. Not that the plant produces this effect
in all people equally, but the potential for a transformative change to
occur with regular use is very good based upon much experiential and
antedotal evidence at hand.

From a basic physiological medical standpoint, frequent use of Salvia
divinorum has not been found to cause any bodily harm or damage to
organs or systems. Most people find no need to use it in high doses
frequently because of the profoundness and lastingness of the
experiences. Any attempt to overdose leads to one going into the
amnesiac level, thereby inhibiting further smoking and preventing
overdosing. 5 or 10 minutes later the person comes back and may or may
not remember anything, but is fine medically.

When one considers how many multitudes of people have overcome ego
driven self destructive lifestyles and patterns after breakthrough
experiences with entheogens, then it is easy to see the potential for
major quality of life and health benefits from entheogen use.
