Hey,

Thanks to all those who posted to my last topic about fun things to do
on acid. We ended up just going to the beach and have a rollicking good
time. Well, 'good' isn't really the right word... we an intensely
enjoyable time, even if it did get a bit dark at times ;)

So now my friend and I have moved on to Mushrooms... and we need some
help. We have picked some which we are fairly sure are the right ones
(from our university campus, no less) but we aren't quite sure. We've
doubled checked on Erowid and they look very similar, but we've never
done it before and don't really no anyone who has. Basically we don't
want to get poisoned and all XXXXed up.

We've got 2 different varieties; one which looks like 'Copelandia
cyanescens' and another that looks like 'Psilocybe cubensis'. They both
look like the photos (particularly the cubensis) but are slightly
different. We realise that its probable they are the right ones and
photos always change colors etc a little and all plants are unique, but
we would like to be certain. Are we right for being so cautious? Or are
we being too worried?

If anyone (particularly from NZ or Australia, but any help would be
appreciated) could help us with some definite characteristics for
telling the right shrooms from the wrong, that would be
fan-XXXXing-tastic.

Cheers,

Ben.

i think if they were growing on shit and they stain blue and they look
like cubies it's ok. I don't think look alikes have all those
attributes. but don't take my word for it i've never acctually found
them in the wild.you have to be very careful though. I've heard some
mushies can cause kidney failure like weeks after you eat them. before
you even know your poisoned. be carefull
