YOWTCH!! I'm surprised at your comosure too.

i actually think that's one of those situations where every single
person standing around would've understood completely if you'd gone for
the blue streak.

i used to be a real potty-mouth. i grew up around people who cussed all
the time. my mom would have made any D.I. proud. ;->

later in life, a friend of mine brought up the concept of 'promiscuous
profanity.' he said there's a big difference between saying, for
example, 'i've never been so XXXXing disgusted in my life,' and 'hey,
check out that XXXXin' chevy!' dumb as it sounds, i'd never thought
about it that way before!

so, i'm not a potty-mouth, but i do cuss on occasion, and it's never
bothered me when other people do. and slamming the hood on your finger,
that seems like a tailor-made situation for PROPER profanity! =:o
