| Dory,
I think a lot of ppl have chiari, but are misdiagnosed as having
something else wrong with them, or told they are hypochondriacs. I was
misdiagnosed a lot as just having basic migraines, and a score of other
dx's before I found a doc willing to get to the root of my problem. The
doc had never heard of chiari when my MRI results had come back, but
was quick to get me a neuro appt for the next morning. I had never
heard the words multiple sclerosis until the morning i heard the words
chiari malformation. It was rough, and the saga goes on. I am a medical
oddity, being one of only 3 ppl in the world known to have both MD and
ACM. But i would say that ACM isnt nearly as rare as they make it out
to be. I have talked to several who have it, and a few ppl in my area
who have been dx'd with it. Talk to ya later, and thanks.
Angel
