LOL, My nick name? Its Duncan. Cant go tooo far with that can I? Heh.
This cursing discussion is a good one. Today I was checking my oil in the
car at the gas station. There was a bunch of people around and when I
slammed the hood shut I slammed it right on my ring finger. How a person
can even do that I dont know. But I did. Ripped a big ol shred of skin
right off the back of my finger from the middle knuckle straight down to the
fingernail. (Ive never heard of someone slamming their own cars hood on
their finger...)
Boy did I ever feel like cursing... once I managed to open the hood and get
my finger out. But no, I held my blue-streak in check. Didnt even mumble.
Gently got in the car, drove out on the interstate, and Im sure I then made
Bob VERY proud. Damn that hurt! One of the few times in my life I was
suprised at my composure.
The puzzling thing is... It was the finger on the hand that was slamming the
hood shut. My other hand was in my pocket. Today was one of those days...
