| yo rob, i just wanted to let you know, i've been using your protein
drink recipe for a little over 3 weeks now. i gained 3 lbs., then the
gain seemed to stop, BUT, man i've seen an incredible increase in my
energy levels!!
wasn't really expecting anything so noticeable. i couldn't say for sure
it's a result of your recipe, could be a coincidence, but in any event,
WOW, don't think i've had this much energy for at least a couple years.
no tooth-grinding 'speedy' feel, like anti-fatigue meds give me, just
i'm here, i'm awake, and i'm able to concentrate on tasks without
nodding off in the middle of them.
so, THANKS!! :->

Bitte! :*)
I urge others who are concerned about losing weight to use the same recipe
as well. Theres a reason for everything in it and its much to long and
involved to get into on this group. In effect the ingredients are
synergistic. Theres one thing you could add that "may" help further; and
thats a tablespoon of Knox unflavored Gelitin. Although its not a
"necessity." You can buy that stuff in little tubs at a local market.
(probably the same place you already shop) It contributes to nerve
conduction and the rebuilding of underused ligaments and tendons. Not to
mention its good for your bones, teeth, heart, and brain. But as I said,
its not a necessity. But IS a benefit.
The reason I harped on not eating between the morning shake and lunch, and
lunch and dinner, is that when our body experiences little fasts, its
insulin responce to a good meal is heightened and our body utilyses more of
the food to restore, or add to, muscle tissue. Insulin is VERY anobolic
(builds lean muscle tissue) and taking advantage of that fact is very
usefull. A well balanced lunch wont lead to an insulin crash, so people
neednt worry about experiencing low blood-sugar between meals. Plus, as I
mentioned, once the body becomes acclimated to a new feeding pattern it goes
about doing its own thing. In our case, what we want to do is take
advantage of that.
Have you awaken hungry yet? Thats when you really know your body is
beginning to expect feeding at certain times. Im so glad its helping you
Rose and very happy its making you feel better. The lecithin and protein is
fantastic for the mind. Always keep hard-boiled eggs in the fridge, they
make a great additional source of protein to a quickly made meal. (Heck, a
chopped up hard-boiled egg goes great with Top-Ramen shrimp flavored noodles
for a quicky lunch. Just chop it up and dump it in.) Taste great. Its not
he greatest for you, but its calories and protein none-the-less.

hi kathie,
the post with the recipe is archived here -- http://tinyurl.com/4ftle
when i clicked on the 'super whey protein' link in the post, it had
ideas about places to buy the stuff, and one of them was albertson's --
don't think they have them anywhere outside the west coast, but it's my
regular grocery store. i order online from them, and they had some in
stock -- o joy! ;-> i got the lecithin and flax seed oil at henry's
natural foods, but had to go to GNC for the creatine. i think the
original post came right around payday, which is why i went to GNC --
i'm sure everything could be located at a more reasonable price if i'd
been taking my time, except possibly the whey protein -- real decent
price at alberton's! :->

| hi rob,
nope, i haven't been waking up hungry -- we'll see if that does happen.
at some point, i seem to have just lost my appetite, but I THINK that
might have something to do with the force-feeding regimine i've been
on. the extra energy was an added bonus! i did gain 3 lbs., and then it
seemed to stop -- maybe it's plateau'ing or maybe this is just the
weight I SHOULD be at, since i'm a lot less active than i used to be,
couldn't say for sure.
but man, i'm happy enough -- the weight loss stopped and i'm
maintaining without having to do nothing but eat all day long. i'd
smoke weed to build up an appetite, eat, smoke more to keep it down,
eat more....i wasn't gaining, but i felt awful ALL the time, like doing
nothing but eat and smoke, and still feel stuffed and sick with no
appetite -- i'm hoping it will build up again (appetite, that is) if i
can continue maintaining without the need for constant eating and
drinking. it's been a while since i really ENJOYED a meal -- it's been
cram in the calories. gets tiresome!

| I've put myself on nasty protein shakes and some other vitamins because of
my skating. I'm on glutamine which helps my muscles repair faster and I'm on
a muti vitamin and vit B12. I do the whey protein as well. I've finally
found a way to stop it from being very bitter to me. For some reason all the
flavours and kinds (ive tried about 5 brands) leave this nasty bitter
aftertaste. I find it I just put a little less in the shake then it seems to
work.
I have found a big increase in my energy. I mean I bounce off walls
normally, but I have more energy for skating.

| I was worried about that too but I haven't noticed any weight gain with the
stuff im on. I have noticed a bit more muscle, especailly on my jiggly arms.

| Rob...so send us the recipe for this again, I must have missed it somehow.
so long as I don't gain any more pounds I would try it for sure. gaining is
what I do not need.

Thanks. The idea of more energy appeals to me ... and it sounds like
muscle mass may increase strength.
Thanks.

hi joyce,
the post with the recipe s here -- http://tinyurl.com/4ftle
go down a couple paragraphs, beginning with the 'super whey protein'
thing, and that has the ingredients and amounts that rob recommended.
i've been making the recipe exactly as he gave it the first time
around, and the energy is still here. unexpected, but MOST keen! :->
