My reference to utilitarian bioethics was apropos, then.
Google "Peter Skinner Ph.D" and read his carefully-reasoned extensions of
exactly what you've just said above.
Better yet, read Dean Koontz's "Strangers". It's a really good and
well-told story, and because it has some moral underpinnings, I can
guarantee it won't horrify and disgust you like Skinner will.
