| There is another important thing. After the 1920s, this country realized
(and it was successful because of it) that unbridled capitalism will go
amuck, anti trust laws and social security are counter to unbridled
capitalism. The ideas of workers right (40 hrs a week) and other protections
all originated in the US, because it was needed. Many of these laws were the
result of abuses of slaves. Its amazing that the institutions that monitored
all these are being gutted while there is unlimited funds for war.
