I got the name of the author wrong. I looked it up (thank you Amazon)
and found
"Rise And Fall Of The Third Reich" (Paperback)
by William L. Shirer

Excellent book, if you're interested. But don't buy the paperback!
It's well over a thousand pages, so the print is microscopic and it
falls apart very quickly.
