Hi, my name is Tamie. I was recently fired from my job of 11 years. I did
not deserve to be fired & my employer gave me a bogus reason for my
termination. To tops things off, I was denied unemployment so I have no
income at all. I had insurance on me and my son but now we don't even have
that. My son was born with only one arm and also has acid reflux. Between
the 2 of us I can't start to come close to making ends meet. I am 30 years
old and have Multiple Sclerosis. I am ashamed to ask people I don't know for
donations but I've hit rock bottom, and have no other option. I am close to
$ 100,000 in debt, and because of my illness it is not easy to find a job.
Nobody wants to hire someone that is going to miss work all the time with
relapsing M.S. You may not know this but insurance companies don't like
pre-existing illnesses, so I have hospital bills along with many other bills
adding up. My son needs glasses and I can't even afford those. I know life
is hard for everyone and everyone has their own problems, but I am truly in
need. I would like to get a fresh start for my son and give him the
wonderful life he deserves. I am heartbroken to know that we can't even have
a nice christmas. I know we will never have some things like a house with a
yard for my son to play in. But hopefully, if there are enough people out
there with big hearts, any donations would help, even if it's all they can
give. I can be the kind of mom I would love to be. I would appreciate any
help you could give me and I am hopeful that the favor will be returned
someday. I'm on my knees begging you for any amount, if only a few dollars.
Please help me by e-mailing this to anyone who might be able to help. This
might not be much for some people, but every dollar counts.

Please send anything you can to....

Go see an attorney who specializes in employment discrimination
matters IMMEDIATELY. >>>>>DO NOT WAIT.<<<<< The legal statutes that
protect you have STATUTES of LIMITATION on causes of action. These
begin to run FROM THE DAY YOU ARE FIRED. Look in your yellow pages for
suitable lawyers who practice in your locality. Most attorneys will
meet you for a free initial consultation to review the facts of your
case and to consider if you have a valid cause of action.

In addition to the Americans with Disabilities Act, your state is
certain to have a handicapper discrimination act to protect you
against this type of nonsense.

Often, even the threat of litigation is enough to cause the company to
rethink its course of action. But, the bigger and badder your law firm
is, the scarier you will be to them.

See a lawyer IMMEDIATELY.

depending on the state you are in, there are public defenders in ny and also
the state sells a cheap insurance for kids. You should also seek the help
of social services. Again all these may be different/unavailable in some
states. Probably a church group can take your cause.

a scam artist, who claims to be over $100,000 in debt, but is
soliciting pennies from sick people with fixed incomes.

please, folks -- DON'T FALL FOR THIS BULLSHIT.

rose, who's been in the place you claim to be and never took a penny
from anyone on this list, even though there have been a couple of VERY
kind souls who offered.

P.S. to anyone who actually IS in a situation similar to that described
in the spam: contact your state Dept. of Health & Human Services, your
local chapter of the M.S. Society, your church, the Salvation Army (for
Xmas gifts and help), etc. there's often a lot of assistance available,
but for those who've never worked the system, it can be difficult to
locate.

my advice to anyone actually in a similar sitch is to contact first the
M.S. Society, then the DHHS, and get referrals for the specific types
of help you need from those places. do not i repeat, DO NOT, spin
bullshit stories on newsgroups and ask strangers for money.

I was wondering when someone would post a sensible reply to this...and
thanks, Rose, for the additional information about how to handle such a
situation appropriately!
