Dory, how come buying frozen foods worries you? the albertson's truck
has refrigerated and freezer compartments; they stick the frozen food
in a special-colored crate and stick it in the freezer while they're
driving around. it's always arrived still-frozen -- no matter how many
deliveries are scheduled for that day, the drivers keep the frozen
stuff in the freezer section, and the refrigerated stuff in the
refrigeration section.
i've had a couple problems with them, with fresh produce -- sometimes
it shows up less than fresh! when that's happened, i call the
800-number and tell them, 'hey, you delivered me 5 lbs. of rotten
taters!' or 'my oranges are all fuzzy, ya dinks!' and they either
credit my account OR send the driver back later to trade my nasty
produce for a new, fresh batch.
unless you're worried about it for some other reason than being afraid
it might thaw out on the trip. i've had very few problems with
albertson's -- online grocery shopping makes my ife a whole lot easier!
