hi Phil,

I understand his frame of mind pretty well also, but there's some
variation, so i still get confused every so often.

Dennis is a total prototype Mr. Fix-It. he's not used to NOT being able
to 'fix it,' whatever 'it' is! there are times when i can see that he's
half-crazy at the idea that i'm having trouble, or am in pain, and he
can't do anything about it. i have to check myself nd see if he CAN do
anything first -- if he really, truly, honestly CAN'T, then i get my
game face on and keep it in place as often as possible. to do otherwise
would just worry and stress HIM for no reason.

OTOH, sometimes there are things he CAN do -- he can't cure M.S., but
he gives GREAT massages! :-> he's ace with jerry-rigging adaptive
equipment, and re-designing the house sigle-handedly to make it easier
for me to get around, many many things. when iwas injecting Copaxone, i
'let' him inject my arms and hips, even tho i was capable of doing it,
because it made him feel better.

hes' been working a lot of OT recently, and if he's taking time off
during the week, it's more likely they'll ask them to work Sat.,
sometimes even Sat. AND Sunday...so, since I CAN get there myself, why
should he have to take time off? i just guessed wrong this particular
time. ;-> no biggie, he got over his irked reaction, he just says he
IS coming with me, so i just said "Ok, then." ;->

all the best,
rose
