Any tricks to keep warm
|
|
|
| This has always been puzzling for me, but I become frozen rigid when its
cold and with heating prices are up. I am in trouble. Anyway the torso part
is OK, I just keep adding more sweaters, but what about the legs, I already
wear a thermal underwear, is there a special one. Is there any food that is
good, I know Chinese think dog meat makes you warm, but that is out. So be
reasonable.

| Hunting and sports stores have wonderful long socks -- silk long
underwear is warmer - and slacks made for not subzero weather can keep
you warm inside the house and still look nice - also you can get pants
and vests lined with sheepwool ---
Happy shopping !

| Abdi;
Heavier thermal underwear; get some out of a catalog or store for
hunters. I've had good luck wtih L.L.Bean.
I just found legwarmers in the Vermont Country Store catalog (online as
well. at vermontcountrystore.com) Used to have some years ago; like a
sweater for your legs. These were in style an eon ago, but I know they
still make them for dancers. You can look for them under a dancers'
supply catalog, such as Danskin.
As for food, I don't know anything about DOG meat! Bleah! But, the
Eskimos do eat a LOT of fat to cope with the cold. Maybe it's just
psychological, but nothing warms me up like a nice, HOT bowl of chili.
By "hot" I mean spicy, five-alarm style.
