| As most of you might know, I am a licensed tax preparer. Every year I
must take a 20 hr (16 fed & 4 CA) course on current & new tax laws and
pass a test with at least 70% by 10/31.
Every year I swear I'm going to get it done early even to the point that
this year I had all the materials sitting here since May, but as usual,
I put off doing it until the last minute. Last Saturday I decided it was
about time I my b-t in gear and get it done. So *all* I've done for the
last 2 1/2 days is study. I finished and faxed in my answer sheet about
noon today.
Although I've managed to maintain about a 97% GPA, there were a couple
of chapters I wasn't too sure I understood completely.....heck I'm
still not sure I do. But when I called about 2pm to see if they had received
my fax okay, they said not only had they received it but had corrected it
already and I hadn't missed any of the questions! 100%...........I'm on
cloud 9 tonight!
Now I can get back to the important things in life...........the people
of this
newsgroup! (smile)

BTW, where do you live? I would really like to get into tax
preparation. tried a few years ago, before dx, but got too sick to
finish the course. I really think it is something I would like to do,
and something I could do........... after all, it is only a few months
a year, right?
hugs again,
Angel

| Thank you, Kathie, and everyone else who responded, for your kind words.
You might say, math has always been my forte'. Then almost 20 yrs ago,
after doing ours for years and helping others with theirs, my husband
brought me the info on getting a license and suggested I become a
preparer. So I did. Although I get nervous every year and then end up
doing good, this year I was really scared because of those 2 chapters I
wasn't sure I understood. So, when I unexpectedly got the good news,
I just had to tell someone and my husband was at work so I posted it
to the group.
Thank you all for your responses.
