| JUST out of hospital and back in my flat (apartment) !
Well, hospital (National Health Service) was absolutely ghastly, but for the
8th time, the job has been done. Not entirely clear, but going up the wall
after 4.5 weeks...... So :-
"Back to basics" my derm said, when I went in, out of control having stopped
MTX 7 (!) weeks previously due to bad blood results, using Betnovate RD
cream. And he did go back to basics, I've never used it before, but
increasing strengths of CRUDE coal tar (NOT solution). This stuff is as
black as coal (!!), and it stains *everything* greeny-black. (Only 1 place
in the UK prepares it, due to EU regulations). It smells OK, but I was
covered in it twice a day for 4 weeks. It was powerful ! Started off with 1%
in WSP, then 2%, then 3%, finally 5%. 10% is the legal maximum, because it
burns at the higher strengths.
Also started Hydroxycarbamide, at 1.5 g per day taken at night. It seems to
have cleared up the mess somewhat.
