| I have looked EXTENSIVELY at IFN-gamma and atopy, including asthma. It
is the polar opposite of psoriasis. Atopy has LOW IFN while psoriasis
has high IFN (TH1). In fact IFN is a proven treatment for atopy. As is
IL-2 another TH1 cytokine. May want more IL-10 in psoriasis, the
cytokine that triggers TH2 from the TH0 resting position.
This is why it is so crucial to get a accurate diagnosis and cytokine
picture, else we can really make things far worse. The fish
oil/aspirin helps me a lot, and I was puzzled until I was told I have
psoriasis not eczema. Now it makes some sense.
I have LOADS to report on the endocrine aspect, just have to work the
psoriasis rather than the atopic angle. Assuming the are mutually
exclusive as I believe they are.
