| Has anyone been diagnosed with a skin condition called Lichen Planus ? It
has been bothering me for quite a number of years, and I would like to know
if more people have it, since I was told that not much can be done about it.
Not much is known about this condition, which shows tiny red spots mostly on
the wrists and ankles, but also inside the palms of the hands, and on the
back and buttocks. It's very, very itchy, and then might go dormant for a
while, before it flares up again in a year or so. My dermatologist has given
me a skin ointment, which I can only apply very sparsely, since it is rather
potent, and only when the condition is very bothersome. Thanks !

Yah, mis-diagnosed with this when my first psoriasis spot appeared.
I was given some topical steroid ointment which coincidentally is
prescribed for either condition.
