Maintenance Rates of Anti-TNF Agents in Rheumatoid Arthritis Patients
in Daily Practice

Agnes Monnier, Joel Dehais, Thierry Schaeverbeke. CHU de Bordeaux,
Bordeaux, France
Although the mechanism of TNF blockade differs between anti-TNF
agents, therapeutic results and tolerance did not differ in clinical
trails. However, in daily practice, some differences may occur.
Objective : To evaluate the maintenance of infliximab (INF),
etanercept (ETA) and adalimumab (ADA) in daily practice, and to
analyse the reason of treatment withdrawal.
....
Conclusion : While the initial proportion of good response did not
differ between INF, ETA and ADA, the maintenance of ETA was better
than those of INF and ADA in our practice, due to a greater proportion
of severe infections with ADA and loss of efficacy with INF.
