Author question about herpes blisters

Last night I happened to be in the bathroom examing my privates because
earlier in the day I was experiencing some itching, aching and tingling down
there, then some really annoying pinching on the right inner thigh near the
groin. I noticed a small pimple on the inner thigh where the pinching was
coming from then I happened to look at the penis rim and there were 3 tiny
blisters all in a row. The funny thing is that they all looked as if they
already popped and 2 were already scabbed over. Today I looked again and 2
are almost healed and the last one is now scabbed over. I am wondering how
on earth they came out and healed so fast? Is that normal? I am taking
Vitamin A 10,000 iu, so maybe that helped? My girlfriend doesn't take
vitamins and hers take a week to heal up. She also has outbreaks that last 2
weeks, mine last 3-5 days. Any ideas on this?

Thanks,
Al

Herp is incredibly unpredictable. Different people respond different
ways. And sometimes the same person can have different symptoms for
different activations. Another thing, don't bet on them being healed
up just because you can't see them. Within a few days, those seemingly
"healed" over places could morph into ulcers those might take another
little while to heal. Sometimes that happens. Keep us posted.

I sometimes wonder if there IS a "normal" associated with Herp.
Practically anything is "normal".

Two different people, two different responses. Maybe the vitamins
helped, maybe not. I doubt they'd hurt though. My guess is that if she
started taking them and you quit, it wouldn't matter. You'd both still
respond the same way to reactivations. Just a guess.

Okay I'll let you know what happens. It feels a little senstive there today,
and my testicles have been achy (sorry if thats TMI), but looks about the
same so far.

I'm starting to reaslize that M2! I often get pinchy pimples that resemble a
blister in the middle of it, but are more hard and mainly on the inner
thigh. These classic blisters on the penis are a first for me. I did have
some painful ulcerated sores at the tip of the penis back in May 2005, but
not really blisters. Weird how the symptoms change so much huh?

Well I know I probably should have taken my valtrex the minute I started to
get the prodrome, but really my outbreaks now arent that painful, mostly
just a bother sometimes. When I say a bother its not like I'm dying, more
like I remember to myself that I have herpes (after forgetting for a while)
:o(

Thanks,
Al

Yes I know all about stress! That's the main reason my outbreaks when
haywire to begin with I think. I'm a very nervous, worrisome person to begin
with and that all adds up to stress. Plus I come from an Italian family and
they tend to add even more stress to everything. I think some foods like
coffee, chocolate and peanuts could play a role, but stress is the main
thing.

Good example of how herp affects different people differently. Stress
isn't a trigger for everyone. And for certain people, only certain
*types* of stress are triggers. See my reply to Diva under

That whole "stress" thing is totally unpredictable.

I checked the blister/scabs today and there are only tiny scabs left, most
are gone completely. I didn't see any new ulcers, just that the area around
the scabs was a little red. I don't have any pain there or soreness that I
can feel. Maybe this will be it. We'll see.
