Arterial blood gasses and perhaps a test for carbon monoxide poisoning
(carboxy hemoglobin concentration) would also be reasonable. Do you have a
carbon monoxide monitor in you home?

| I have had repeated MRIs and they show nothing. I've also seen a
neuroopthamologist and she said everything was normal.
I have fibromyalgia (I think). 4 years ago this started as unbearable
neck/back pain, which turned into the headache. I felt like I was
underwater - couldn't hear. It was awful. After months that went away
and I was left with just the back/neck pain. Then, about 6 months
later it turned into this headache (really, it's more of a face ache -
definitley TMJ, but much more than that).
I go to a chiropractor weekly and get massage. I'm doing a detox diet
now and they are going to try some herbal remedies -feverfew,etc.
I've also seen rheumatologists, physical therapists, etc.
I have to wonder why it went away 100% when I got pregnant.
I don't have a carbon monoxide monitor in my home, I don't think. But I
have lived in 2 places with these headaches so I can't imagine that is
the problem.
Sandy - I am new to this board. Are you a doctor?

Yes, not a neurologist or headache specialist, just one with an interest in
headaches. Try browsing at http://www.i-h-s.org, the International Headache
Society website. Go to Guidelines, then to Diagnostic criteria. You might
find something helpful to discuss with your doctors. Are you familiar with
the NTI-tss for bruxism/clenching/TMJ and headaches secondary to those
problems?

| Yes, I also saw a neuromuscular dentist and had a $4000 splint made!
It didn't do a thing.

That's pricey! What does the splint look like? If it allows contact
between the upper and lower teeth in the back, it probably wouldn't work.
