Woke up with a major banger this morning and wouldn't you know, needed to
take Dad for his bloodtest. Popped an Imitrex in my mouth and jumped in the
shower, felt very nauseous but knew I'd make it 'cause Ramey said he'd take
us, bless him. You know how you're getting the migraine under control, but
you feel like you need to be very, very careful? Our first stop was ER,
several dead looking people were staring at a tv turned up so loud I
couldn't think and one of those horrible game shows with all of the sound
effects was on, ringing, buzzing, and of course screaming! I was sitting
under it...

Next stop was the lab, and as I wheeled Dad in, the smell hit me hard, it
had to be spray paint, if it wasn't spray paint then some sort of adhesive,
and it was so strong I immediately pulled my jacket over my face, all the
way up to my sunglasses (glad I remembered to wear them, you know those
lights...). One of the lab girls flys through and says "I wish I could do
that", and I have no idea just what exactly she wishes she could do but I
would have been happy to assure her she would not want to be in my shoes!

Next thing I know, she's BACK with a spray can...oh..NO..room freshener...
and says "Anyone have asthma?" as she's already spraying a thick cloud all
around the room...me? I'm sitting there waving my arms and yelling NO, NO,
NO!!! Don't spray!..but I don't think she could hear me through my jacket
and the wet spray was already seeping through so I jumped up and told Dad
I'd be back, he understood of course. I ran outside for some fresh air, ran
into another lab girl who told me they aren't allowed to wear perfume, LOL,
well I guess that's a start! ;-) As I was dreading and forcing myself to go
back in, one of the girls brought Dad out to me, bloodtest done, and boy was
I glad!

Ramey picked us up and the sun flickered through the trees all the way to
Dad's and all the way home...ahhh Home!

Oh, Sage, that sounds awful. I can almost feel as if I'm there by your
description. Senseless people.

I hope you're okay tonight.

Boy, do I know this one! I can run as fast as a thoroughbred when someone
whips out a can or spray bottle of cleaner. Somehow, it doesn't seem to be
fast enough most of the time, though.

No, darn it, I've got one of those stubborn migraines, I'm on my second
Imitrex round today and it's making it sooo difficult to get ready for
Thanksgiving, the house is still a mess, I need to get it cleaned up and
start cooking tomorrow. We'll have the usual crowd on Thursday and I am so
not ready, and so down about it, gave in and actually cried awhile ago
(which I rarely do because it hurts to cry), it all just gets so
frustrating, doesn't it? Most of the time I think I deal with it pretty
well, but I do have my moments.

Sage, I'm right there with you. I have a messy house and lots of cooking to
do. I have to get beyond being paralyzed. Just try to think of the fun :-)
