I'm not sure if FMLA is an option or not. I've never heard of that being
used except for taking care of a sick relative.

On the other hand, somewhere amidst our conversation about how to solve the
problem in the first place (when we were talking about afternoons) he asked
me if I wanted to take an extended leave of absence. That was one of the
options discussed. I just didn't think I could afford it. My short term
disability doesn't kick in for 30 days.

But did someone say you can collect unemployment under FMLA?
