Just wondering if anyone in here has a home that has what's called a
sunroom or such on it? I've been interested for awhile in making a
sunroom out of one of our old bedrooms on the south side of our house.
Hoped to do some on that this fall;but then got sick. However,I got to
reading more on it last night while online and came upon a very good
sounding used book on sunrooms that I want to buy. Just $4.50 plus
shipping. I do love Amazon.com and those places that sell used books so
cheap! LoL

Now our old house is not fancy at all to say the least! LoL But then the
roof isn't falling in on us either. Well,not yet! :-) Just kidding! LoL
But this is a very plain old box framed house. In fact,it was built so
long ago that only the back part add on, three rooms,are box framed!
The bathroom and what were two small bedrooms back there.

My first idea is for the old room on the southwest corner of the house.
We used it for years as just a junk collector room. :-) Then I cleaned
it earlier this year. It's maybe 12 x 15 feet in size with a bare wood
floor. My idea is to take out the outside wall plywood covering on the
south side of that room and replace that with corrugated fiberglass like
is used for greenhouses. That would go on the 2x4 wall studs. Then on
the inside of that I thought of putting 6 mil plastic sheeting. And the
old flooring would come out. So in effect what I would have would be a
small sunroom/greenhouse and part of the heat from this room would go
into the other parts of the house during the day when temps built up in
that room.

Well,that's what I've been thinking about recently and am continueing to
think on. Just wish I were well enough right now to get to work on it!
