Has anyone noticed a decline in battery life with high humidity?

I've got nothing to compare to, so I'm curious and offer a benchmark:
I'm using BTE aids about 16 hours a day (a bit less on weekends) and I'm
getting two weeks out of my #13 batteries. I'm on the west coast of
Florida where it's about as humid as one can imagine short of the
tropics. Anybody's batteries doing better than that?

I live in the Arizona desert where humidity can be less than 5% (altho not
this time of year...more like 30-50% in July & August). I also get about
two weeks. I doubt that weather has much impact on battery life. Well,
maybe if you get rained on a lot & the HA's get soaked...

Heat is more of a problem than humidity. You should always store ALL
BATTERIES in a cool place...like the fridge.

I posted data from 2 refrigerator manufacturers a few months ago. They say
that refrigerators are very humid, to keep foods crisp.
Bad place to put batteries.
By cool, battery manufacturers mean not in the sun or a heated spot.
A drawer is fine.

I store all my batteries in the fridge in a big, sealed jar. The
humidity is, therefore, low and constant. More importantly, chemical
reaction (which is what batteries do when they are doing anything) is
inhibited. My results are excellent.

Batteries in use, whether you have ITEs or BTEs, are located close to
(even inside) your body and I would expect the humidity they experience
to be fairly high, regardless of the ambient. Let's face it - we are
giant, flabby envelopes full of (mainly) water.
