Oticon Adapto with Motorola V551

| I am brand new to hearing aids (3 days), and I love my new Oticon Adapto
BTE hearing aids.
Everything is going extremely well for me, but I really don't know what
to do with my Motorola V551 cell phone. When I put it on my ear where
it's supposed to go, the ear mold gets in the way and the sound is
muffled. When I put the cell phone at the top of my ear next to the
hearing aid microphone, I can hear the phone a bit better, but the
phone's microphone isn't near my mouth and the caller can't hear me very
well.
Any suggestions?

I have a Motorola V557 (basically the same phone). My aids are not BTE...
so I'm sure it's different. But, my cell phone does not like my ITC hearing
aids. The audiologist needed to program some special type of phone program
so that they wouldn't beep and buzz in my ear while talking on the phone.
Once she put in that program for me, I've had no further problems.
Regards,
Arlene
