I know that some times new batteries take a little while to kick in
becase air has to get to the zinc (?) after the seal is removed.
When I insert a used (but fresh and viable) battery into one of my
Widex ITEs in the morning, it often takes a few minutes to start up
-not always and not for too long, but enough to make me worry that it
may not work today. The other aid starts up fine when the same battery
is inserted in it. What could be wrong?

Since you took the battery out the unit had to re-boot, and it
probably has Windows XP in it!!!

Was it a little voice in your head that told you to?
