Stopped at Costco today - here's what they carry in BTEs -

$1,800/pair - Rexton Regatta

$1,800/pair - Bernafon Neo

$3,200/pair - Rexton Regatta 2

$3,200/pair - Siemens Triano

They also carry Interton, not sure where it fits in the price list.

Any comments on products or pricing?

Here are the specs for the Rexton aids, wonder if the price difference
is worth it...

Regata 1 ($1,800/pair) -
Three programmable memories
Six channels, two adjustable compression channels
Directional microphone
Adaptive Noise Reduction
Microphone Noise Reduction
Adaptive Feedback Suppression and Optimization
Program change and low battery beeps
Battery door on/off switch
Power on delay
Programmable telecoil
Push button for memory change
Programmable volume control
Compatible with wireless products, cell-phones, FM systems, and MLX

Regata 2 ($3,200/pair) - same as above, except:
12 channels, 4 adjustable compression channels
Three programmable memories plus an automatic audio input program
Speech Preservation System
Wind Noise Cancellation

The Interton Bionic is a a new ADRO design (32 channels used for noise
reduction etc.). Others will be coming out with ADRO instruments soon.
I like that fact that ADRO design uses OUTPUT levels to control
compression (they like not to call it compression but that's
marketing).

Anyway it may be worth trialing.

Thanks Bob. Looks like their price is quite a bit cheaper than Costco
($1,990 for the pair vs $3,200). Not quite sure how btehearingaids
works in terms of audiologist review - did you have an audiologist
check them out and adjust them at all?

My local Group Health did a hearing test and ear molds for me.. I emailed my audiogram (to BTEHearingaids) and they programed the
aids based on it (they will reprogram them by mail but that sounds like a slow and painfull process) . I had a local audie lined up
to do tuning if needed (besides what people on this group say, you can find an audie who will do unbundled services). If you meet
the right conditions (Your hearing loss is stable and are a current HA users) you may want to give genesis a try.
