Author Adding Lamictal to Zoloft/WB

I take 200mg Zoloft/450mg Wellbutrin-XL daily. Recently, my pdoc talked
about adding Lamictal to this mix, or a low-dose of a thyroid hormone.
I'm not exactly sure what Lamictal would do, I'm not bi-polar. Anyone
have any experience with this? Appreciated.

It sounds legit. Lamictal is used off label to augment antidepressants
in unipolar major depression. Ive tried it myself. Lamictal has an
antidepressant effect, that for some is quite pronounced and effective.
Lamictal is getting a lot of good reviews by both Pdocs and patients a
like and it has very few side effects. Just follow your doctor's advice
on how to take it and you should be fine.

I'm on 350mg of Zoloft a day, and it don't quite cut it. I was still
getting "wish-I-was-dead" feelings several times a day. So I started
on Lamictal (the free starter pack) and right away I started feeling
better. It supposedly affects mood swings.

Good Luck

Apparently it is "dysthmia." I've been on many different combinations of
drugs since I started treatment for depression three years ago.

Paxil CR/Wb (worked well, gained 40 pounds I can't lose), Effexor/Wb,
Cymbalta/Wb, etc...

***For me lamictal has been a great energizer. I take 75mg in the am and pm
along with 150mg effexor per day for management of BPII, lately mostly
unipolar.

I think the Lamicital rep has been making the rounds, it seems like all the
psychiatrists I know are prescribing it for everything from hemhorroids to
schizophrenia. My response to the sales pitch was "no thanks, I'm doing
fine on what I'm taking now, can I have my refill please?"

screw the lamictal rep, haven't you heard the good ratings it's gotten
on this board. and we don't like anything. i'm not saying take it, i'm
just saying that it has helped many people and is different. besides,
it does help hemhorroids if you stick it up your XXX.
