odd then that all the claims she has made over the years as to the
negative effects of SSRIs have all been vindicated by the FDA and
become part of orthodox science..

>I don't know anyone who was killed by SSRIs,

More recently, Dr. David Healy, an expert on the brain's serotonin
system and the director of the North Wales Department of Psychological
Medicine at the university of Wales, estimated that "probably 50,000
people have committed suicide on Prozac since its launch, over and
above the number who would have done so if left untreated."

Twelve of 15 studies of the popular antidepressants,
known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors,
failed to show that the drugs were effective in children.
When the committee began its investigation earlier this year,
only three of those studies had been published, according to the committee. Several have been made public since then.

An internal FDA study and a study done by Columbia University
at the FDA's request both concluded that, according to the
drug companies' own trials, children were almost twice as likely
to have suicidal thoughts or behavior if they took the drugs
than if they took placebos
