Eli Lilly and Co. is warning people who use the anti-depressant, Cymbalta,
about possible liver-related problems.

The drug maker is also cautioning doctors against prescribing the drug to
patients with chronic liver disease.

A new label for the drug is being produced and will include reports of
hepatitis, jaundice and other liver-related problems in patients using the
drug. The former label warned against using Cymbalta in combination with
alcohol.

More than one million patients have been prescribed Cymbalta, which has been
approved to treat major depressive disorder and nerve pain associated with
diabetes.
