Does anyone here know about a place/center where someone can go for
depression retreat? I don't mean a psychiatric hospital (I think these
can make one worse), but a place for therapy and contemplation. I know
such places exist in other countries, but how about the States?....

Consider this place, Gianna. You can take all kinds of neat classes
next door at the Community Arts Center, and in your spare time you can
hang out with me. Trust me, after a month or so, you won't need any
more therapy. ;-)

IMHO, there is no retreat from depression, because
depression is in your head. Wherever you go, there it is
because there you are. The only retreat I know of is a change
of mind - and that you can only get with drugs.

That is if it is serious depression and not a passing
phase.
