Here, I am asking you here.
>LOL, well if everyone who has a BS in chemistry is a "scientist"...we
>sure as hell have a lot of "scientists" running around. I give the
>phrase the same plain and ordinary meaning it is usually given
well, see, the issue is not so simple...I would consider a scientist to
be someone who believes in free and open discussion of the subject at
hand...and this is clearly not seen in lyme disease "science" in which
the academics usually considered to fulfill such a definition {and
especially the medical "scientists"} steadfastly refuse to engage in
such discussion, pay any attention to the questions of others {many of
which have scientific validity}, and in fact are now through IDSA
actively engaged in an attempt to sequester themselves, once again, by
not including patient reps or advocates in the structure of the new
$100 million bill...
is steere a "scientist"? Is someone who hides in a hole and absolutely
refuses to discuss the rationale for what he writes with anyone other
than his fellow IDSA cronies a "scientist"? {ask polly murray about
this}
is someone who claims that PCR is not useful in the diagnosis of CNS
disease, but then cites a lack of PCR evidence of infection in treated
CNS patients as evidence of the effectiveness of therapy; is someone
who praises the klempner study yet seperately recommends against using
even higher doses of doxy in neuroborreliosis patients; and yet refuses
to discuss these and any other issues with anyone, including the
media..
is this close minded and illogical thinker a "scientist"?
most "scientists" believe in free and open discussion of the issues,
are not afraid of tackling difficult questions, and are more than happy
to discuss their field of expertise with interested members of the
public.
science is about truth...not hiding FROM the truth.
BTW, kathleen seems to have greater expertise in the art and practice
of western blotting...hands on laboratory experience...than any of the
steerites...
you may want to consider this in your criticisms of her,,,because these
really are very simple, not complicated issues related to these blots.
