This isn't a very fun group, so this idea may not take off, but years
ago, when the group was young, we did have some fun making up rhymes
(Lymericks we called them) and Christmas carols. I will start off in
case anyone else wants to try also.

To the tune of Deck the Halls:

Deck yourself with tick repellent
Fa la la la la, la la la la
There's a reason people sell it
Fa la la la la, la la la la
Lyme disease is in the tick,
Fa la la la la, la la la la
If one bites you, you'll get sick.

On Topic: Patients have the right to and informed choice between the 2
standards of care

To the tune of "O Christmastree (O Tannenbaum)"

Your guidelines do not suit us
IDSA

Your guidelines do not suit us
Four weeks of treatment, that's enough
If you're still sick, well that is tough

Your guidelines do not suit us

We have a choice
We have a choice
The doctor should inform us
We have a choice
We have a choice
The doctor should inform us
The spirochetes are in my brain
A cookbook treatment is in vain
We have a choice
We have a choice
The doctor should inform us

Each patient's different, that is clear
Some need a month, some need a year

On Topic: This explains how people acquire Lyme disease through the
unnoticed bite of a nymphal Ixodes tick.

To the tune of "O Little Town of Bethlehem"

O nymphal tick of Ixodes
How can you be so small?
You never sleep
But ever creep
With stealthy steps you crawl
Until you find a soft place
To place your hypostome
The blood will flow
We never know
The way that Lyme comes home.
